Unchained Project2015 400

UnChained Project wants to mobilize advocates willing to provide awareness and support for survivors of bullying living in fear in your community. Here's why;

  • 282,000 U.S. students are attacked in school each month1
  • 160,000 U.S. kids stay home from school daily due to fear of bullying3
  • Bully victims are 2-9 times more likely to consider suicide4
  • U.S. schools harbor 2.1 million bullies and 2.7 million of their victims.2
  • 1 of every 10 students who drops out of school does so because of repeated bullying in the U.S.1
  • Suicide is the third leading cause of death among young people- about 4,400 per year1
  • For every suicide among young people, there are at least 100 attempts- about 440,000!1
  • At least half of suicides among young people are related to bullying5
  • Suicide rates among 10-14 year-olds have grown more than 50 percent over the last three decades6
